Focus Verse: But it is just as the Scriptures say, “What God has planned for people who love him is more than eyes have seen or ears have heard. It has never even entered our minds!” 1 Corinthians 2:9 (CEV)
Your anointing and calling, it’s not to be taken lightly. The things that God has already prepared for you, are much greater than you could ever think or dream of. Your calling and gifts are intended to do wonderful things for building His kingdom.
But we have to be mindful when we tell God “yes.” It is important that we understand the plans that He has for us are far beyond what we could ever think of or do in our own ability. This is why we have to be very careful with handling our God-given assignments. We can’t do with it what we want, or handle it with a nonchalant attitude.
Why?
Because someone specifically needs those gifts. Someone needs to witness the examples that are set through the lives that we live. Someone needs to experience Jesus as a result of being around us. God placed those gifts in us because He knows exactly who will need them, who they will be an example for, and who will experience Jesus through us.
So I ask, when you tell God you will and He says, “ok show me…” will you be ready and handle it with care?
Prayer: Father, You are amazing! Thank You for every gift You have placed inside of me. As I am operating in the assignment You have given me, help me to remember that I must handle it with care. It is my desire to be used by You as a disciple and I know that can only be done through You. In the might name of Jesus, Amen!
