Focus Verse: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 (KLV)
Today is the day. Millions of Americans will head to the polls to cast their vote for our next president. Unfortunately, there are many that are still unsure about who they will give their vote to. As we prepare to do our part as American citizens, let’s pray that fear is not what governs our decision making when we are alone in that booth today.
All throughout the Bible God instructs His people not to fear during times of distress, and that same encouragement He gave thousands of years ago, still holds true today. As you walk into that booth today, walk in God’s power, His love and the wisdom He has given you to make sound decisions.
Prayer: Father God, this is not the first time Your people have been in this position where we may not know what to do. We have listened to the debates, done our research, but now we need your guidance. God give us boldness and understanding as we cast our vote today. And give us peace as we leave, that we made the best decision for our country. I know that you will be with us Father because Your Word says You will never leave us nor forsake us. We give You glory because You are our ultimate leader. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen!
