We’ve been hanging out and I really like him. He said he likes me too. So what is taking him so long?
Note: At 13:35 I meant to say, “guys have an advantage.” not “disadvantage.” I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
A while ago, I posted a video on Instagram, of a conversation I had with a creep coworker. He commented that I must have showered that day because I just smelled so good.
“You smell better than cake batter…”
“Don’t mind me, I just came over to smell you.”
” I know when you have walked by because everything smells so good. “
Recurrent Exchange
Coworker: “You know what I‘m about to ask you.”
Me: “It’s called Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel.”
These are legit comments/ conversations I encounter on a regular basis. I still struggle with if I should be weirded out or just grateful that I don’t smell like baby poop instead of baby powder. Question. What ever happened to compliments like, “you smell nice today”?
Anywho, if for whatever reason you long to be creeped out by individuals sniffing you and questioning your daily hygiene regimen, here’s a list of some amazing scents to include in your collection for this summa! Surprisingly, I’m not as creeped out, when I’m sniffing others because I admire their fragrance.
Disclaimer: I like scents period. I don’t discriminate. If it smells good to me, I’m wearing it. Regardless of who it’s intended for, male or female.

John Varvatos’ Artisan embodies the lost art of craftsmanship—with a modern edge. It blends state-of-the-art, abstract-perfumery notes with citrus and herbal tonalities for a contemporary twist. The fragrance is a refreshing citrus explosion that develops into a spicy and floral blend followed by a masculine woody impression. The result is an unmistakable sense of hand-crafted luxury that exudes quality and individual character. If I could just testify for a minute, this one will have you saying, “Dang something smells good. Oh that’s me!” All. Day. Long.

1 Million creates a multifaceted signature of masculinity. The freshness of grapefruit invites you into this audacious scent, combining in the top notes with mint and blood mandarin. Striking and assertive middle notes follow with a refined yet virile combination of rose, cinnamon, and spicy notes. Let me move on from here before I find myself stumbling. Help me Holy Ghost!

Now I can enjoy more of the fragrances that I love and not have to take out a 2nd mortgage to do so!

Happy Father’s Day!
I’ve mentioned before, my relationship with my father hasn’t always been the best. Because of a lot of things we went through when I was younger, due to some of his actions, I didn’t respect him, as a father, as a man, as a person. So quite naturally, my lack of respect lead to me not listen to him at all. I’m grateful that my feelings have since changed and I have come to know my father to be a very wise man. We even share in a lot of similarities. Who knew? Here’s some of the wisdom my father has taught me.
Know what you believe and stand on it. There will be times where people will try to silence your voice or convince you to compromise your beliefs, don’t let them. Never be afraid to stand alone if you have to.
With everything that has been going on lately with hate crimes, terrorism, and random acts of foolishness, my father’s voice, ensuring that I’m always aware of my surrounds, is more prevalent than ever before. Whenever I’m out I’m always mindful of his advise, “Make sure you sit where you can see the door if anything happens.” He is always reminding me that I have to be aware of my surroundings at all times.
My father had a servant’s heart. He is always doing something for others. Stopping on the side of the road to give someone a boost. Checking on the elderly in his community. Providing financial assistance to someone in need. Opening his home to friends and family to fellowship over food. The list goes on. His justification for serving other is, “It doesn’t cost you anything to be nice to someone.”
A lot of who I am today is because of the strong man my father is. I love you dad, and Happy Father’s Day!
What about you, what is some wisdom from your father you hold on to?
Lots of Love,

Confession: I like to be cute! Truth: I don’t have a lot of time to do it! I was watching, fast forwarding through a make up tutorial on YouTube a while ago, trying to get some new make up tips and tricks. After about 5 minutes into the video, I looked at the time a realized there was still about 20 minutes left and she has only applied the primer! Now don’t get me wrong, at the end, the girl was giving FACE, but for 25 minutes, she should have been giving head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes! No shade to all my make up and beauty boos.
Realistically, I don’t have 25 minutes to devote to doing make up everyday, and I bet you don’t either. Listen, even IF I had it, I’m still not devoting it to make up, but that’s just me. However, give me 3 minutes, a tinted moisturizer and cute lippie and I’m here for all that!
Speaking of lippie, my new lipstick of the season is Mac’s Koi Coral, a pale peachy nude color. Koi Coral is one of Mac’s cremesheen lipsticks, creamy lipstick with prealized pigments and a moisturizing serum blend. This lip color is so versatile, you can wear it solo or pair it with a plum or chestnut liner for a more dramatic look.
What about you, what is your lip color of the season?

With today’s society promoting movements like “True Loves Wait”, “No Ring No Ting”, “Pinky Promise”, etc. more and more people are making the decision to wait until marriage to have sex, and that is absolutely amazing!
However, I have also noticed lately, we as Christians, have put far too much emphasis on the rule, no sex before marriage, while totally disregarding the reasoning behind the motivation to wait.
A few months ago, I read an article where the author, a Christian, waited to have sex until her wedding night and regretted it. As I read the article, my heart ached for her, because it was clear that what she had been taught about sex, was all rules without reasoning and relationship, and quite honestly, falsehood.
Because of this, I started to ask myself, “have we gotten so caught up in the hype and idea of no sex before marriage, that we have begun to idolize it? Have we put those who have chosen this route and their decision on a pedal, high above all else?”
Once I had decided to rededicate my life to Christ and wait to have sex before marriage, one of the first questions people would ask me, if they hadn’t seen me in a while was, “are you still waiting?” Or, “I am so proud of you for waiting!” Although I was grateful for the encouragement, after a while it got mad annoying. Was that the only spiritual thing in my life of importance?
My goal has always been to live pure, not sex-free. Purity is the goal and waiting to have sex before marriage is the byproduct of that goal.
Living a life of purity goes far beyond avoiding sexual immorality. Although this is VERY important, a healthy pure life also includes being mindful of the conversations you entertain, Matthew 15:18; the music you listen to, the novels you indulge in, Romans 4:23; and the television shows you expose yourself to, Luke 11:34-36. All these actions weight heavily on your ability to remain pure.
If I’m waiting until marriage, but I still listen to music with sexually suggestive lyrics, continue to watch TV shows with foul language, entertain lewd conversations, and read novels that totally contradict the lifestyle I’m trying to live, am I honestly living pure?
With this mindset, one is subject to fall into the trap of rules vs relationship. Rules say, “no sex before marriage because I said so!” Relationship says, “strive to lead a pure life and through our relationship, you will be guided to what pleases Me.”
Don’t misunderstand me, I am not bashing “wait to have sex before marriage” programs, I am challenging us to be mindful of living a pure life instead of a rules life!
What are your thoughts? How do you feel about waiting to have sex before marriage? Are you for it or against it? All thoughts are welcomed!
I’m getting to know you, and you’re getting to know me, so we can just know each other. One of the things you will come to know about me is I love to share. Sharing is caring, and I care about you so much that I’m going to share with you my favorite 5 things right now!

Notebooks
Notebooks, Journals, Dairies, whateva you wanna call’em, I’m here for’em! Especially pretty ones with DOPE sayings, like cool quotes and scripture and stuff. Wait a minute; do I hear rap lyrics in the making? What you doing, God…? And to answer your question, yes, scripture can be “DOPE” So I guess I found a new use for my beloved notebooks, RAP LYRICS! “I got bars, sick bars!”
