Who’s Who?

19 Jul

nature-sky-sunset-manThe thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. John 10:10 (AMP)

When you become a follower of Jesus Christ it is imperative that you learn His character, His ways and how He speaks. But as you begin to grow in Him and get closer to your calling, it becomes imperative that you learn the character of the Enemy as well, his ways and how he speaks. It will save you a lot of self-doubt, fear, questioning God and what He already said to you.

Character Traits of Christ vs the Enemy?

Christ:

  • Will enhance your life and those around you. John 10:10
  • Gives you peace even when things aren’t the best. Mark 4:39
  • Is patient. 2 Peter 3:9

The Enemy:

  • #1 goal is to destroy your life and those around you.
  • Causes anxiety.
  • Wants you to rush and be hasty.

Have you been going back and forth in your mind lately between two choices? Do you have an important decision to make and have been experiencing a bit of anxiety?

The Enemy can sound a lot like Christ at times. Don’t feel bad if you have to CONTINUALLY, pray God’s word to Him, “Lord You said…God I believe You…Father, I trust Your plan…” The Enemy will do everything he can to keep you from what God has planned for you, and to do through you.

Additional Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 14:33; John 10:27-28; Isaiah 26:3

Prayer: Lord, thank You for reminding me that I have to be mindful of the character traits of both you and the adversary. I know that he desires, above all else, for Your plan not to go forth. As I am growing closer in You, help me to keep my eyes on You and so I don’t fall for his lies, tricks and schemes. I only want to do Your will. It is in Your son, Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen.

I’m tired of thanking you for your obedience and for the prophetic word you bring forth. Like really tired. But THANK YOU! ♥️??

I had a rough patch with this last week and am in the process of major life changes that are requiring me to differentiate between the two voices. This helps sooo much. To God be all the glory!
